Why We Built This Site
Michigan makes a good deal of court information public, but knowing which office holds the piece you need is the hard part. A warrant does not sit in one drawer. The court that issues it controls the charge, the bond, and the recall. The agency that serves it is the one that can say whether the process is still open. A bench warrant for a missed date belongs to the court that was expecting the appearance, which may be the district court, the circuit court, the Friend of the Court, or a jury-compliance file.
Michigan has no public statewide warrant portal either. The police network that holds current wanted-person entries is restricted, the state criminal-history product excludes warrant information by its own description, and the public case search is a court index rather than a warrant list. It is easy to check one page, find nothing, and draw the wrong conclusion. We collect the contact details, search routes, and request steps for each office so a reader can start in the right place.
What You Will Find Here
A short map of what each page covers, so you can start with the section that matches your situation:
- Warrant checks: how a warrant check runs through the state case search and the court that holds the file
- Open warrants: what an active warrant search can and cannot show in a county with no public roster
- Missed court dates: how bench warrants arise here and which office holds each kind
- Charges and custody: what an arrest warrant contains and how service works
- Tickets and fines: the traffic warrant path, from the 14-day response to a possible license hold
- City cases: how a city court warrant routes to the district court named on the citation
- Published lists: what a county most wanted bulletin is and where the official tip channels lead
What We Cannot Do
This is a privately run reference site. We have no connection to any Michigan court, the Sheriff's office, or any state agency, and there are real limits to what we can help with.
- We cannot run an official check or confirm whether a warrant exists for anyone
- We cannot recall, quash, or clear a warrant on any system
- We cannot post bond or take any payment toward a warrant
- We cannot arrange a surrender, a court date, or a walk-through
- We cannot give legal advice or say how a case applies to you
- We cannot promise that every phone number, fee, or listing here is current today
Only the court that issued the process or the agency that serves it can confirm whether a warrant exists and whether it has been recalled or satisfied. We can point you to the right office, but the answer has to come from them.
Search Partners
Some pages here carry a search box that is run by an outside provider. Those companies set their own prices and their own terms. If a search leads to a paid signup, we may earn a referral fee, and that revenue is part of what keeps the site available at no cost to readers.
Those tools are not a court record and not an official status check. Their results may be incomplete or out of date, and they carry the same restrictions described in our disclaimer.
